Privacy notice

Who we are

GenioVivo is run by Oppian Systems Ltd (company number 06782942, England and Wales), which is the data controller. Contact: matt@oppian.com.

What we collect

The email address you give us and the date you gave it. With it we keep the country your connection comes from, as reported by Cloudflare, which hosts this site; the page that sent you here; and any campaign tags in the link you followed (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign).

Why

To send you one email when GenioVivo launches. That email asks you to confirm that you want to hear more; if you do not confirm within 30 days of that email, we delete your address. We also record each visit to this page, without cookies, and send it to PostHog, an analytics service whose servers are in the EU. A visit carries the country and the campaign tags, with a code made from your connection and browser that changes every day and on every site, so nobody can follow you from one day or one site to the next. We send PostHog the same details when you sign up, confirm or delete, or when a sign-up is refused, with the reason. Your email address is never sent.

Legal basis

For your address, your consent, which you give by sending the form. You can withdraw it at any time by writing to us. For the visits, our legitimate interest in knowing which ideas people want; you can object by writing to us.

Where it is kept

Your data is stored in the European Union, in a database that our hosting provider, Cloudflare, keeps there for us. Cloudflare is a US-owned company, so its role as our processor is also covered by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and its UK extension and, where those do not apply, by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses with the UK Addendum. To send the launch email, Resend (Plus Five Five, Inc., United States) stores your address and the email's details in the United States for 30 days, under the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework with its UK extension.

Sharing

We do not sell your address. Beyond our host, Cloudflare, we give it to one further company, Resend, only to send you the launch email. Resend acts as our processor.

How long we keep it

Until you ask us to delete it or do not confirm the launch email within 30 days, and never more than 12 months after you signed up. When we delete your address we keep only the site, the date, the country and the campaign tags, as a count of sign-ups, and those go too after 12 months. Resend's copy of the launch email goes 30 days after it was sent, even if you delete your address sooner. Daily visit counts are deleted after 13 months.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your data by writing to matt@oppian.com. The launch email also carries a link that deletes your address at once. You can also complain to your data protection authority.
